About

Chloe Patience is an award-winning textile designer specialising in hand embroidery and embellished textiles for fashion, interiors and art. Working on a freelance basis, her practice combines meticulous craftsmanship with innovative surface design, spanning both contemporary and heritage-led projects.

With over 18 years of industry experience, Chloe has collaborated with leading organisations including Netflix Film Productions, Timorous Beasties, and the V&A Dundee. She holds a Master’s degree in Print and Embroidery, a combination that underpins her approach to surface design and has led to recent projects including the ‘Bankie Spirit’ fabric—a heritage printed textile developed for the Threads of Time project.

From 2007–2014, Chloe was co-founder of luxury leg and bodywear label Bebaroque, whose bold, couture-inspired designs were endorsed by all national editions of Vogue and worn by artists such as Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Katy Perry, and Kate Moss. The brand was stocked internationally in prestigious retailers including Harrods, Liberty, Selfridges, KA DE WE, Lane Crawford, Ikram, and Curve.

Alongside her design practice, Chloe is a visiting lecturer at Edinburgh College of Art and delivers regular workshops across Scotland at institutions such as V&A Dundee, Dovecot Studios, Anthropologie, the Wemyss School of Needlework, and the Central Scotland School of Craft.

Chloe gained her BA (Hons) and MDes Postgraduate degrees in Textiles from the Glasgow School of Art and Edinburgh College of Art. Her work is driven by a passion for pushing the boundaries of functional fashion and textile design through print, embellishment, and couture-level craftsmanship.
