‘Sewing Box for the Future’ exhibition features my interpretation of re-usable embellishment for fashion, in the form of transferable motifs using recycled elements.

All materials used are recycled and or sustainable and the motif itself can be re-used to renew an old item of clothing or soft furnishing.

Tree ornaments are often mass-produced and conventional, so the V&A challenged designer Chloe Patience to design an elevated counterpoint to this, with hand-made and sustainability in mind.

Hand embroidered Christmas tree decorations were crafted using a mixture of seasonal scraps such as mince pie casing, chocolate coins, old tinsel and decorations. All extra materials were from stock or taken from existing designs
